Almost everyday i get asked why i am still using CPALead and not just grabbing the offers for myself and coding my own gateway. There are many many reasons, some of which are to do with my laziness :P , but for the most part its to do with trust. I know that no matter how much i run through CPALead, i am almost guranteed to be paid. Albeit without breaking their TOS as well. But even so, I think its just the peace of mind, that it wont get to the end of net 30, and the network suddenly take all my leads away. It just doesn’t happen with CPALead.
If we jump the fence for a bit, and take a look through the glass from the “Your own Incentivised Offers” side. The most obvious drawback to using CPALead is that they are just a middle man, and being so, they are taking a cut off the pie for themselves. But how much? Are we talking a slim slice or a 50% cut going to them. I did a bit of investigating, however to be honest, it was a bit difficult and ill explain later, but heres a few results :

What i will say however, is that so many of CPALead’s surveys seem to be exclusive to them. Which is a suprise to be perfectly honest but it does seem that way. Im sure you all know the usual email submit landing page, the one where you select one option from a drop down box then submit your email. Well ive done them above, but there was so many that were huge long list surveys (Maybe like 10 questions), and these seem to only reside at CPALead. Also to add in there, that i used offervault + a few other network accounts to check the pricing for other networks.
Of course here comes the calls for CPALead shaveing. Well, possibly…. They could be shaving clicks as well, but to be 100% honest i haven’t noticed it. My conversion ratio is generally well above 20% which is fine with me. People say they just shave off clicks to make the conversion ratio look better. This is a possibility, but even for testing the above offers out. All of the clicks showed up in my stats panel, so either they arent shaving my IP clicks, or their not doing it at all.
Another issue with going your own way, is how to code the gateway. There is a few people out there selling code to make your own, but to be honest they are doing it such an awful way that i would NEVER buy it. Most dont even seem to know how to work postbacks from networks, therefore they are basically setting the gateway on a timer, and hoping that people will fill out an offer. Yeah well, that doesnt sit well with me. I want my user to fill out one offer, and then visit my whole site for a day, not have to constantly wait on a timer thinking that im scamming him.
Then there is the problem with Geo-Targetting, rotating offers, remove expire offers and the list goes on. Maybe its because im more of a set and forget person, but i just dont see myself sorting out the offers, testing the waters with some, rotating them in and out and doing split testing. CPALead does that for me! And for that, i think they deserve a slice of my pie.

The CPALead Events Method
I'll throw in an actual method that you guys can try to make a fair bit of money with. It is kind of similar to my to previous posts on Easy Money With CPALead. And ofcourse if you dont already have a CPALead account, you can quickly check out my guide on How To Get Accepted Into CPALead. Infact i would advise to read both those posts first (And actually Easy Money With CPALead Part 2) as it is basically the same method with a bit of a twist.
Ok so with all the links out of the way. We will dive straight into this method. Ok so around every NFL, NBA, NHL, and MBA game there is huge hype. It’s always breaking into googles top trends and it draws in the crowds like a firefly to a light. So how can you cash in on this method? Well fairly simple actually. Assuming you’ve already read my previous posts on CPALead, all you need to do is swap out the TV show, with a sports one right?
So similar to Sidereel in the TV method, what you want to do is go to ESPN.com or really any other American sports site, and find what time big games are on. Dont go for your home town, go for Yankees vs Red Socks etc. The reason i emphasize american sports, is because that is basically where all the money is at, and will be your biggest audience.
Next go grab a domain, or a blogger blog if you must. And spruce it up for your event, doesnt need a custom theme, just needs to be a non-default one. Simple ones work the best to be perfectly honest, so dont go overboard. Next what you will need to do is go to CPALead and grab your gateway code from there. You can make a custom skin (Which i HIGHLY advise to do) or just leave it lock stock default. Stick it on your blog and your almost ready to go.
Next create up some YouTube videos promoting your site. Ive said this before and ill say it again, simple works. You dont need big flashy effects or even sound. Just put a slide up with the teams in the game playing, then have a slide at the end telling them that they will need to come to your site to view. The more videos you make, the more profit, so put in the effort. If you track back through my other posts on CPALead (Links at top), you can read more indepth about how i do my YouTube videos.
Next wait for the game to actually start, then head over to ustream.tv, justin.tv or any other streaming websites. Remember that you dont want to wait for the game to end and then stick it up, you will be behind everyone else. Sometimes it can take upwards of about 10 minutes to find a good stream, but when you do stick it on your website and your good to go. I would advise trying to find a few streams and put them all on the same page so that when one breaks, your visitor can still view on another one.
If you havnt done so already, put up all your youtube videos. Wait a bit then 5 star them yourself and maybe fling a few fake comments up aswell. You should start getting traffic almost immediately, especially if its any sort of final or something like that. Tweek this method to fit into your own scheme of things, if it doesnt work at first try another sport, try a different landing page. It doesnt take much of a change to suddenly become profitable.
P.S. My most profitable sport has so far been MBL. To be honest im a little suprised and thought it would be NBA, but im still earning months after the games. Once the game is over you should be able to find an uploaded video on megavideo.com that you can stick up there.

Easy Money With CPALead (Part 2)
If you haven’t already done so, you will need to read Part 1 of Easy Money With CPALead. This flows on from that and to be honest, if your reading this blog post before part 1, It will make absolutely no sense to you what so ever. Also if you are not already accepted into CPALead, read my guide on How To Get Accepted Into CPALead. So with all that said and done, i think ill make this post just simple points. Sorry if it doesn’t read well, I’m just going throw things out there for you to try/do. They are generally things i have done to increase my CPALead earnings. First thing i want to ask you though is :
Are you in for the short term or long?
While almost everyone reading this will answer the above question with the answer long. Most of you will be simply doing this method verbatim as outlined in the previous post. If you are intending to only really promote your blog through youtube videos then change your answer to short. All the tips below are to do really only with a short term model. Nothing about my method is about SEO or getting higher rankings. While working to get higher in the big G is profitable it isn’t the focus of this method.
Keep your Perma-Link structure default
While im sure you’ve heard about changing your wordpress blogging structure to a more SE friendly one. For this particular method it is actually FAR more effective to keep it as the standard page number system. The reason is simple. As you head into your second week of the method, you will have to create new videos for your site. This is because if you make a new post about the new episode, obviously this comes along with a brand new link. Which you will have to stick in your video. But if you keep the permalink structure with the number format. You can simply edit last weeks post to the new episode. And upload the same unedited video as the link stays the same!
Make a custom skin for CPALead
I cannot stress this enough when using CPALead. Alot of websites nowadays are using CPALead’s gateway. And unfortunately a few of them don’t always cough up with the goods that they promise behind the box. Its always good to differentiate yourself from these people and give yourself a unique look. People will know that its the same surveys, but its not just the default look that everyone else has. It can be as easy as whipping open photoshop (Or MS Paint :P ) and making a simple colored box. Its the little things that make the difference.
Re-Save your youtube video every upload
When youtube bans an account/video, it doesn’t just stop at the one. It basically bans every duplicate video that is on youtube. That is if you have two accounts, with the same video uploaded to both. When one gets banned the other will as-well. The simple fix is everytime you upload a video, to shorten or lengthen the clip by 1 second or even less. Then re-save it. The video will now be unique by about one second and it will be safe from being mass banned.
Don’t stop at one
Once you’ve uploaded a few videos. Don’t stop there. Use the trick above to remake the videos and upload them onto a different account. If there is one thing i have learned about youtube, its that getting views can be absolutely random at times. A video that got 5 views can be uploaded a few minutes later only to get get hundreds of views within minutes.
Use two browsers
The most easiest yet overlooked method to bring in traffic is to rate/comment your own videos. Youtube absolutely loves videos that are getting interaction with the audience. The easiest way to do this, is to always upload videos within Internet Explorer. Then have a different account that hasn’t uploaded anything on firefox. After uploading your videos through IE, wait till you get a few views on the videos, (note you want to view the videos ONLY through your control panel. If you constantly refresh the videos as a user would, you will freeze the views), then through the firefox account, 5 star them.
Turn off comments
This should be a no brainer. Turn your comments to “approve only”. That way it looks like people can comment, but when they start abusing you because of the gateway, you can just ignore them.
I’m sure there is some big tips that i have left out. But like anything in Internet Marketing. Its up to you to try things out and work up your own little bag of tricks.

Easy Money With CPALead
I thought i would share you guys an old method to get you started on your path of learning Internet Marketing. It is a simple concept but gives you a good over view of what you will need to succeed at IM. This particular post is going to be fairly brief so that it doesn’t extend beyond two pages. But ill revisit it later with more tips for you to increase your earnings, and maybe even field a few questions if you feel like leaving a comment or sending me an email. Before i start, you will need to have an account at CPALead, so if you don’t already have one, Go sign up!
First go sign up for an account at sidereel.com , Its free! Once you’ve signed up for your account, go back to the homepage, and view on the right hand side the top 10 shows for that week. Its under the header “TV Trends” and is about half way down the page. Go to each show’s page and add them to your favourites (Should be a link underneath the title picture). Some of these shoes aren’t in season currently, so add some others that are popular. Adult cartoons like family guy and american dad never fail to work with this method.
[Optional]Go grab a domain with something about TV, Shows or Videos, and install wordpress on it. Stick up a nice theme, preferably something dark. And your almost ready.If you don’t want to buy a domain/hosting. You CAN use blogger blogs or other free web hosts. It just becomes a little harder to get everything the way you want it.
Next go create a new gateway within CPALead. Be sure to customise it as much as you can. If you want to go all out you can even whip up your own skin but it isn’t necessary. Add your gateway to your site by adding it into the headers.php file. Do a quick check to make sure everything is in order, then we are done with the makeup of the site.
Head back to sidereel and go to your profile. Check what shows are on that night and for the coming nights (Remember they are in US time!). On your blog create posts with the show and episode names in the title. For the body of the post, for now just put in a description for the episode, which you can also get from sidereel.
Next, you will need something like camtasia or windows movie maker to make a short 30 second still film. You can generally get camtasia from somewhere like mininova or any torrent place. If you don’t feel comfortable with that then just get whatever movie maker you can find. For each of your shows, create a small video with nothing but a slide of that show. So for example I’m using Family Guy, i grab the first picture from google images of family guy and stick it in my video. I then stretch it out for 30 seconds or so. Add a slide at the end saying
“Sorry, Youtube keeps taking my videos down due to copyright.
I have reuploaded at :
www.yourlink.com”
For yourlink, it is generally easier to use a site like tinyurl.com or bit.ly to shorten your link. So in all your video should be a 30 second slide of a still picture. Then at the end a 5-10 second slide saying where they can find the real video. You can also watermark the whole thing with a video to your video blog post.
Right now that we have all your slide videos done. DON’T UPLOAD THEM~! You must wait young grasshopper. The night that it airs, head on back over to sidereel. And wait for someone to share a link to an upload of that episodes video. Go to that site and grab the embed code for the video and add it to your site. Sometimes this is shared freely and other times you have to get it from the source code. Once you have the code add it to your corresponding wordpress post.
Right. So we have a blog, with a video of an episode that aired only a few hours ago. With CPALead over the top. People are going rampant for the video by this time! Upload your slideshow of a video up to youtube. Add in the description a link to your blog, and keyword stuff the description with anything and everything about that particular show.
Wait till it gets about 10 views, login to a different youtube account and 5 star it just once. Anymore and you generally freeze the video. Your traffic should start piling in from the video to your blog. And its all free. You should get a really high conversion rate with CPALead too!
The next day, obviously there is another show airing that night. This is really an unlimited method, it all depends on how much effort you want to be putting into it. If you make your youtube videos good, and hang out on sidereel the night of the airing just waiting to be the first to get the real video. Then you can make really good (and easy) money with this.
If you cant make money with this well… I don’t really know. When anyone asks me for a simple method that a 10 year old can do, i always show them this one. It is so damn easy and it really is unlimited. Ill write up another post further down the track on how to increase your earnings from this. But for now, get out there and start earning!

How To Get Accepted Into CPALead
Since my post on Easy Money With CPALead, i have gotten a few emails about CPALead not accepting people into their network. I was a little taken back by this as CPALead is certainly one of the easier networks to become a publisher for. I think the main reason people are not getting accepted is because they try and use the same lines that got them into other Affiliate networks.
CPALead is all about the gateway. If you intend to use the offers as direct links you wont be getting accepted any time soon. So make your application really pushes forward that you are going to use the gateway in unique ways. Say you are going to protect blog posts on your make money blog. You are going to make a movie site that has all the movies protected by the gateway. And the list goes on. Just make up anything off the top of your head, and say your going to protect it with CPALead.
If that all sounds a bit hard to you. Here’s the steps to make sure 100% you get accepted. Note this is working as of today, but pretty soon i think CPALead is going to catch on to all the publishers writing down the same copied stuff. But here it is anyway :
* Go buy a TV/Movie related domain. You can use blogger but a .info is only 99 cents, its not that much effort is it?
* For hosting just use someone like Bluehost or HostMonster which is only 4 bucks per month or so. You wont want to be hosting million dollar websites with these two hosts, but for small websites its perfect.
* Install wordpress on said domain and upload a nice theme.
* Go to sidereel.com or megavideo.com and find the embed codes for 5 or so TV shows/movies.
* Make new posts on your blog for the TV shows/movies and post them up. Maybe with titles + descriptions.
* Spruce up the site a bit, or if you want, add more shows/movies.
